Shekhar Lama is a talented and multifaceted personality in the Nepali film industry. Born on March 9th in Bhimeshwor-07, Dolakha, his passion for the arts was evident from a young age. With a diverse career as a producer, director, actor, choreographer, and screenplay writer, he has become a prominent figure in Nepali cinema.
In 2014, Shekhar Lama established "The Palm Group Pvt. Ltd." as a platform to bring his creative vision to life, producing notable films such as Heroz (2013), Aapleng La Namsha (2017), Sayabung (2018), Tulkee (2021), Mit Baa ko Gaun (2023), Balki And Lusu (2025"Upcoming"). His upcoming project, Tulku (True Story of Tulku Rinpoche), is highly anticipated.eyond filmmaking, Shekhar is an active member of several industry organizations, including the Nepal Film Producer’s Association, Film Artistes Association of Nepal (FAAN), Film Dance Association of Nepal (FDAN), and the Nepal Film Society, contributing to the growth and development of the Nepali film industry.
